Yamaha has introduced the “revolutionary” TransAcoustic guitars with built-in reverb and chorus at Musikmesse 2016.
Based on the L-series guitars, the new models are coded LL-TA and LS-TA. This is the familiar coding where the modified dread is LL and the folk sized is the LS.
In addition to the Engelmann spruce top and rosewood body, an actuator is fitted in the guitar and vibrates in response to string vibrations. These vibrations then generate the effects without any external effects pedals or amps. Rather cool. 🙂
Expected to hit the stores in August.
