Blackstar ID Core 20 impressions

Got this little guy in over the weekend. Nice stereo amp from Blackstar.

Early impressions were favourable. Nice cleans especially with some reverb. Guitarbear particularly likes the Clean Warm voicing. Super Crunch is another voicing that’s quite nice and versatile for hard rock.

Blackstar seems to have put together a simple to use amp that doesn’t empty the pockets too much. The wide stereo sound is definitely a “must-try”. You get some amazing sounds with the 2 x 5 inch speakers.

I’m still leaning towards the humbucker for overdriven sounds.

Point to note, the power cable is kinda short. Not sure if an extension will emit too much noise.

The room is getting really messy with all the gear. Who shall be sacrificed?
